Samsung's S5230 is a new super-thin cell phone that measures only a half inch in thickness (11.9mm) and manages to include a 3 megapixel camera/camcorder with Smile Shot technology and a bright 3-inch WQVGA (240x400 pixels) resolution touchscreen display in its package. The S5230 offers Samsung's finger-friendly TouchWiz user interface with mobile widgets and a user-customizable homescreen that users will find great for navigation.
The Samsung S5230 also features built-in access to Google Search and Google's Gmail email service, as well as Bluetooth 2.1 for wireless handsfree headsets. The S5230 offers worldwide connectivity thanks to quad-band GSM (850/900/1800/1900MHz) support, and includes a microSD card slot for extra storage |

This phone replaces a HTC P3450 i have had for less than one year. Very happy with Samsung didnt relize it did not have wifi until after it arrived.

The phone is really cool. The touch screen is really responsive. It is a great value for the price and no 2 year commitment. I had to call TMobile customer service to get some settings straight for the iternet browser but they were more than happy to help.

I like this phone. I picked it because I wanted a phone/organizer/camera all in one. I wanted it to have a battery I can change out myself (unlike the iPhone), and I wanted a long talk time. So far, this has delivered. Its rated at 10 hrs of talk time. I charged the phone on Friday, and used it through Wednesday before it needed charging again - and this was with moderate music listening, messaging and talk time. The media feature (i.e. music player, fm radio) is a perk, but not a "must have", as I have a hefty iPod for my music needs. The camera is decent, but not great. Next time around I will get a better camera phone. The organizer is great. It has everything I need: calendar, to-do, memo, voice memo. My one complaint besides the camera not being quite as nice as Id hoped, is there is a limit to the personalization on the phone sounds. Samsung offers two (2) sound choices, and no ability to add your own. Note: this is not the same as mp3 ringtones - those are completely customizable. Its just irritating when youre typing because even volume level one (1) is louder than I want, and "mute" leaves you with no tactile feedback. All in all, a really good phone and especially for the price. If I make a few more ducets, I may upgrade to the Hero HTC, but until then, I give this 4 of 5 stars.
