A feature-packed device that is best avoided by regular everyday consumers because it is, in essence, a "work in progress": its Maemo operating system is under active development and is nowhere near as stable as more evolved Nokia Series 60 devices. However if you like being on the bleeding edge, and are willing to put up with quirks to get a device thats open to endless experimentation, this is for you.

Generally impressed, the phone does things no other phone can do but there is a BUT.
I was disappointed at the lack of PIM features in the current firmware: Tasks is missing a note section and there is no PIM search. The phone application lacks the ability to program a number to autodial with pauses.

Amazing device. I also had the N97 which is crap compared to the N900. It is faster and very responsive. The screen is much better than the n97 eventhough they are resistive. Nice feedback on the keyboard and despite its size and weight it feels very good an the hand. The bad... fm radio app needs development, can't use the LED light for video, provided headphones are REALLY CHEAP with bad to average sound quality and does not have music controls on it, but that is not too big of a deal. I love this phone and can't wait for the next n920 or whatever it wil be called.

The phone can do everything, and has more features than iPhone or any other smartphone on the market. Cons: its heavy and bulky, 3G doesnt work in Canada. Still, very satisfied with the purchase.

I had the Flagship N97, the previous models also, the N96 and N95, all of them have an old OS that is being replaced by this wonderful phone, The N900 and the Maemo OS which is Linux based is going to revolutionize Nokias hold on the smartphone market...a wonderful move forward.
