Purchased this phone at end of June from MobileCityOnline.com. The phone arrived quickly. Also purchased the optional desktop cradle/charger.
Both phone and charger are great. I travel extensively throughout the world the phone works very well. Per the points made, the 3G doesn't work here in the United States as this is a European phone where the frequencies for 3G are different.
So in the US this phone works on EDGE which is fairly fast. The only significant differences are if you use the GPS extensively while driving while using a mapping software that relies on the data connections like Google maps. In this case the map lags because EDGE isn't as fast as 3G. With all other applications, I find the EDGE and 3G differences to not be that significant at least for what I need.
The phone and multitude of apps available in the Android Market are great.
I'd give it 5 stars if they'd have built this phone with worldwide compatibility with 3G networks.

YES, this is the european version. Be aware that the 3G frequencies are different.
I bought this phone on the MCO NYC store, and I'm impressed. It's a wonderful phone. Android is, as always, great and innovative. And the touch precision of this phone is better than other Androids there is an app for that! -- to show that, that is.
Material is truly outstanding, feels very expensive and polished, with a distinct rubber feel.
Currently I have Android 2.1 on it. The battery life is greatly improved over 2.0.
This phone continues to amaze me.

I realize its my fault for not doing the proper research, but I felt a little mislead by the listing. I get that its a European phones will not work on US 3G, but I was thrown by the item stating explicitly that its compatible with AT&T.
In any other case Id return it, but this phone is incredible, even at Edge speed.

Love the phone, I had an iphone 3G and 3Gs and never sitisfied with it, motorola with sliding physical keyboard satisfied my needs and the construction material is outstanding, quality is 5 Star, just need to get the android 2.1
